Terms of visit —
the house rules, dealt face up.
Everything that applies from the moment you cross the brass awning: entry, play, bookings, events and the plain-language boundaries that keep a licensed house honest. Reading this once is the cheapest good decision you'll make all night.
18+ — the whole venue, staff and guests alike.
100% offline — no online play exists to be governed.
QLD law — where rules and law differ, law wins.
The short version
- 18+ with photo ID at every door
- Smart casual after 18:00
- Play responsibly — the floor notices
- Cancellation free until 18:00 prior
- No online gaming, no exceptions
01 · Acceptance
Entering the house means reading it.
These terms form the agreement between you and HappyGlimpse Hospitality Pty Ltd (ABN 46 118 372 654) for every visit, stay, event and game at 1830 Logan Rd, Mount Gravatt East QLD 4122 — and for every booking made through this website. Booking a room, buying chips at the cage or simply stepping past the ID desk each counts as acceptance.
They run alongside Queensland law and our licence conditions; where any of those conflict with a house rule, the law and licence win and the rule dies quietly. Data handling sits in the separate privacy policy, and the website's cookies in the cookie policy — linked, but with their own jobs.
02 · At the door
The door has four rules and no discretion.
Strictly 18+, photo ID, every guest
The venue operates under a Queensland gaming licence: every person entering — guest, member, event visitor — presents government photo ID (driver licence, proof-of-age card or passport). Refusal is lawful and final; there is no "come back tomorrow without it".
Dress, smartly casual
Smart casual after 18:00: collars for gents, no activewear, no thongs. Fridays and Saturdays on the Emerald Floor we ask for jacket-optional elegance — the host team can lend a jacket in most sizes, and does.
We may say no
Intoxication, aggression, or a self-exclusion flag ends the evening before it starts — politely, once, and with a taxi called on the house.
Parking, both kinds
Valet at the porte-cochère and 300 self-park bays, complimentary. Cars are parked at owner's risk under the parked-vehicle provisions below — the valets are careful, but they're not insurers.
03 · The felt & the machines
Games run by licence, limits and looking after people.
All gaming at HappyGlimpse happens on the premises, under our Queensland licence, on tables and machines audited quarterly. House rules for each game are posted at the table and the pit boss's decision is final at the felt. Table limits are set per table and raised only by the pit boss on request — never by a guest's momentum.
Chance has no schedule and no favourites: outcomes are governed by the games themselves, and nothing on this website or in the house promises otherwise. Chips are instruments of play on our floor only — non-transferable, non-refundable, and not currency. Full game rules sit with the duty manager on request, any night.
Responsible hosting
The quiet-word protocol.
Our floor crew are trained to notice: a word off the pace, a budget drifting, a guest who's stopped having fun. The quiet word comes early and kindly — a break, a coffee, a meal on the house, a car home. Self-exclusion registers are honoured across every door we operate. If gambling stops being entertainment, tell any crew member; that's what we're for.
04 · Bookings & events
Every reservation, one set of rules.
Stays — rooms & suites
- Check-in from 14:00, checkout 12:00 — free cancellation until 18:00 the day prior
- Photo ID and a valid card at check-in; the room is yours and only yours — no unregistered guests overnight
- House chips bundled in stay packages are floor-only, non-refundable, and expire at checkout
Events & private hire
- Event dates hold 48 hours on approval; 25% deposit on signing, balance seven days prior
- Guest lists close two hours before doors — the licence needs names before the lane opens
- Chip floats at private parties are sealed at open and reconciled at close, with the host present

05 · Liability, fairly split
What we carry, what you carry.
We carry the duties a licensed venue owes: safe premises, competent crew, honest floats, food made to standard. Australian consumer law applies to everything — nothing in these terms excludes it. Our liability for breach is limited, where law permits, to re-supplying the service or refunding its cost.
- Valuables — use the cloakroom safes; we can't guard what's left on a table or in an unlocked room
- Vehicles — parked at owner's risk; valet drivers are screened, careful and insured for their driving
- Alcohol — served under responsible service rules; the bar can and will stop service
- Damage — wilful damage to the house or its felt is charged at cost, discussed before it's invoiced
06 · Disputes & governing law
Talk first. It's usually enough.
Raise any dispute with the duty manager on the night or the guest desk after: nearly everything resolves with a conversation and a receipt. Formal matters are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. These terms were last revised 01 September 2026 — the plaque by the door carries the same date.
