Cookies — the short shelf, honestly.
This site sets a handful of first-party cookies: the banner choice you're about to make, your session while a form is open, and anonymous counts of which pages get read. No advertisers, no social pixels, no cross-site following — the same in-person spirit the whole house runs on, applied to your browser.
01 · The basics
A cookie is a note your browser keeps for us.
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store so the site can remember something between pages or visits: that you closed a banner, that a form was half-filled, that a page was read. Cookies can't read your files, can't see other websites, and can't identify you to anyone but the site that set them.
There are first-party cookies (set by the site you're on — the only kind we use) and third-party cookies (set by someone else's machinery, usually for advertising — the kind we don't use at all). Similar technologies like local storage follow the same rules on this site; when we say "cookies", both are covered.
02 · The short shelf
Three kinds — that's the whole shelf.
Preference
Remembers your banner choice — accept or decline — for twelve months, stored locally under hg-cookie-consent. Declining means the note simply says "declined"; nothing else changes.
Functional
Keeps a form session alive while you write a brief on the contact page — it forgets everything when you close the tab. Without it, a mid-writing backspace could cost you a paragraph.
Analytics (aggregate)
Anonymous page-view counts — which service pages get read, which sections get scrolled — kept as totals, never as profiles, and never shared.

03 · What never gets set
The shelf we deliberately left empty.
No advertising cookies, no retargeting beacons, no social-media pixels, no cross-site identifiers, no fingerprinting scripts, no third-party analytics of any kind. Your visit to this site is not a product sold to an ad exchange — the same principle that keeps the venue's gaming on-premises keeps your browsing on-premises too.
If a regulator, auditor or curious guest ever finds a third-party tracker in our pages, the finder's dinner is on the house — that clause has stood since 2016 and the kitchen has yet to cook for it.

04 · Managing cookies
Your browser, your shelf.
On this site
The banner that appeared on the front page takes Accept or Decline, remembers for a year, and can be reopened any time: clear this site's cookies in your browser and the banner returns with the next visit, as good as new.
In your browser
Every modern browser can block or delete cookies per site — look for "Content settings" or "Privacy" in preferences. Blocking all cookies keeps the site fully readable; the banner will simply reintroduce itself politely on each visit.
Effects of declining
Declining costs you nothing that matters: every page, every price, every booking form works without cookies. The banner asks once and then stays quiet for a year — we'd rather have you at the tables than at a settings screen.
05 · Changes & questions
Revised each September — posted with the others.
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page moves and the register table above gets updated to match whatever the site actually sets — the policy describes the shelf as it is, never as it might become. Material changes also get a line in the inner-circle mail, because subscribed guests deserve the same honesty as walk-ins.
